Christina is the main Bliss Fitness instructor.

 

She has been practicing yoga since her first class with Marie Svoboda in 1997.  In 2008, she completed the 8 Limbs Yoga Centers' Advanced Teacher Training and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.  She continues to grow as both a student and an instructor, and is influenced primarily by the teachings of Rod Stryker nationally through Cheryl Bell locally.

 

Initally drawn to yoga as a way to support her athletic endeavors, she stays because of its centering and calming effects.  Each class she teaches has a balance of challenge and release, leaving students blissfully rejuvenated in body, mind and spirit.  Her intention is to help students find steadiness and happiness within the poses so that they may consciously bring those qualities to life's challenges beyond the mat.

 

Christina also enjoys sharing yoga with children.  Teaching yoga through the PE program at Coe Elementary School reminds her what flexibility really looks like!
