Yamas
1. Ahimsa: non-harming and abandoning the notion of separation.
2. Satya: speaking and living truthfully with authenticity.
3. Asteya: taking nothing that does not belong to you (including others' time).
4. Brahmacharya: moderation, sense control and conscious use of energy.
5. Aparigraha: non-grasping, letting go of both material objects and thoughts.
 
Niyamas
1. Sauca: cleanliness and orderliness, alignment.
2. Santosha: contentment in all situations, equanimity.
3. Tapas: burning enthusiasm, determined effort.
4. Svadhyaya: self-inquiry, openness to divinity at our core.
5. Isvarapranidhana: surrendering the fruits of your labors to a higher purpose.
